Integrated photocatalytic system for modern architectural projects focused on sustainability and ESG

01

What it is

FN NANO® Green Building Systems is an integrated photocatalytic system designed for modern architectural projects focused on sustainability, environmental quality, and operating-cost optimization. The service combines four photocatalytic solutions — FN NANO® 1 for facade systems and mineral cladding, FN NANO® 2 for sustainable urban infrastructure and public spaces, FN NANO® 3 for interior spaces, offices, and wellness projects, and FN NANO® Transparent for glass facades and transparent surfaces — into an end-to-end strategy for the sustainable building. The technology uses a photocatalytic process based on titanium dioxide (TiO₂), activated by natural UV light or integrated UV/LED lighting, that supports the breakdown of organic pollutants, limits biological buildup, and contributes to the self-cleaning effect of surfaces. The system allows building surfaces to function as an active element of the building's ecosystem — supporting air quality, facade durability, long-term aesthetics, and reduced maintenance load.

02

Suitable for

Architectural studios and designers of sustainable buildings
Investors and construction companies focused on lifecycle performance
Projects certified under LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, and WELL Building
ESG-oriented corporate and public buildings
Smart Building concepts with integrated monitoring
Public and educational buildings with high environmental requirements
Healthcare and hospitality projects emphasizing air quality
Smart City and sustainable urban infrastructure projects
Facade engineers and facility management teams managing corporate portfolios

03

What it solves

High atmospheric load and contamination of facade materials
Biological buildup and accelerated degradation of building surfaces
Insufficient indoor environmental quality in office and public spaces
High operating and maintenance costs across the building lifecycle
Lack of measurable data for ESG and sustainability reporting
Loss of architectural vision and facade aesthetics over time
Dependence on aggressive chemical agents for maintenance

04

What's included

Design-stage consultation — analysis of facade materials, exposure, atmospheric load, operational profile, and architectural concept
Technical analysis and compatibility — assessment of surfaces, UV conditions, interaction with facade systems and operating environment
Professional application — controlled application using certified technologies and procedures
Documentation and traceability — technical specifications, application protocols, project documentation, and maintenance recommendations
Optional Smart Monitoring — integration of air quality monitoring, UV monitoring, facade condition tracking, and ESG reporting systems

05

Result

Active building surface as part of the project's sustainable ecosystem
Reduced maintenance costs and optimized lifecycle of facade materials
Support for ESG reporting and certification under LEED, BREEAM, and WELL Building
Longer operating life and preserved architectural vision over time
Sustainable strategy with reduced reliance on chemical maintenance
